Re: Retic metabolism

Hahahahahahahahahahaha, yup, wait until you start getting BIG poops. There's a reason they grow so quickly and they get so big.

Re: Retic metabolism

So they've got a fast metabolism? I understand they move around a lot more than most... are they pretty active snakes?

Always been fascinated with retics.

Might one day get a SD, someways down the road. Probably in my 30's when I'm more settled and more financially comfortable.

Re: Retic metabolism

I'm about a month into my first retic. We are doing the poo dance now. She eats, a few days later she poos, I change paper, she poos again, I change paper again.....she poos again....and so on. Nothing like my BCI or JCP. Those guys are regular like clockwork.

Haha yup, for some reason they like it dirty. Some say they're one of the smartest snake species, sometimes I'm not so sure.

Yes they have a high metabolism. Pretty active too, especially when they're smaller. They also have a tendency to push. Some do, some don't, and some go through a phase.
