Cool Icarus my green ig

I'm new to the site and already posted some python pictures in my intro. thread. Just wanted to upload some pictures of my iguana, Icarus. He was a very feisty little dude when I brought him home back in February of 2011. Now he has calmed down quite a bit, and doesn't mind when I pet him. He's still not a big fan of being picked up, but tolerates it for short periods. I believe he is somewhere between one and two years old.

Enjoy!

Thank you. That last shot is the most recent photo I have of him. The others are a couple months old.

Thanks, I'm glad you are as impressed with him as I am haha. That's too bad you don't have your ig anymore. They are wonderful animals to have around. They're so full of personality.

His diet consists mainly of collard, turnip, mustard, and dandelion greens. Every now and then I'll throw in some kale or bok choy. I feed him a combonation of acorn and butternut squash, green beans, bell peppers and snap peas on a daily basis. It's never the same thing two days in a row though I like to mix it up. And he gets carrots, apples, mangos, grapes, cantelope, watermelon etc. on a less frequent basis once or twice a week. Dusted mondays and fridays with calcium, and wednesdays with a multivitamin.

He is an absolute pig lol. When it's feeding time he comes right up to the front of his enclosure and sometimes jumps out at his food dish before I even get a chance to put it inside.
