Great 1st vet visit!!!

Put Buliwyf and Saphira in their spiffy new pet carriers and took them to meet Dr. Custer, the fantastice exotic Vet one town over!! It's pretty cold and rainy out so I put their "sockies" under their little blankets. Their sockies are a heat pack stuffed inside of one of my husband's socks, lol!! Keeps them warm and gives them something to hold onto. They seemed bored with it all and slept all the way to the office. Of course once there they got lots of attention from all the employees who just loved them of course.....who wouldn't?, lol. Dr. Custer examined them and he was so flattering. He listened to their lungs and little hearts, checked their eyes, mouths, and scales. He went on and on about how healthy they were and how he hardly ever gets to see such nice healthy beardies. He said sadly that by the time he usually gets to see them, the people have waited till they are almost dead before bringing them in and told me a very sad story about a little beardie he saw last week. I went over their daily regiment and he again told me that I was doing a fantastic job with them and too keep on with what I am doing. He looked at the scar on Saphira's tail from a bite or something that she received before she came to live with me. I showed him the pics from the problem shed due to the scar and he said it looks great now and too keep a watch on it and use the betadine wash and neosporin as needed. I was such a proud Mommy and he made me feel really good about the manner in which I take care of my babies!!! At the end of the visit, he thanked me for bringing them in and said he hopes I bring them in every so often so he and the staff get to see them! He was so good with them and really seemed to enjoy them which I loved. Got to love it when you get good news from the Doc rather than bad......seemed to be a nice break for him too!!!
