Veterinarian for hots
Finally found one. Going to get my NorPacs sexed, dewormed, scanned for pregnancy in one, and treat anything else. And hopefully convince him to do a little mentoring and train me to get more comfortable handling hots. About time.

Re: Veterinarian for hots
Yeah no one else would do it. I was surprised i've been so accustomed to hearing no every time I ask I was taken back hearing a yes. Pretty sure one is prego about to pop, hopefully the ultrasound will show them.

Re: Veterinarian for hots
Randy, do you have a thread with pictures up?
That's a little funny, but I understand the dilemma.

Re: Veterinarian for hots
Ah. Hopefully tomorrow I can get some good ones. Can't wait to take some pics with this awesome camera I got. Sooo much better than the one I had before packed with sand and a jammed motor. I was surprised the vet contacted me at almost 11 at night. Had it not been him and I wasn't so happy to have finally found one I would have had to get rude. That's a little late for a business call.

Gah! It still doesn't work. I need to get a new flash player and if I try to download something on this piece of poo computer it shuts down. I'll email it to myself so I can watch it when my real computer is fixed.

Did you make that video? I would hope not- as a lover of reptiles I cannot stand to see videos of rattlesnakes that have been decapitated and people are still playing with the head because the nerves haven't died yet. I found that video offensive and cruel.

Re: Veterinarian for hots
Yes, I did. It was part of a video for my wilderness survival class project. Sorry you found it offensive and cruel, I should have included a warning not to watch if you found it offensive. I tried now but it wont let me edit. It was killed quickly and there was a point in "playing" with the head. I was showing the danger the head still posses even after the snake is dead, as some people didn't believe it could still bite.
Back to this thread. Does anyone know if there is any risk of liability for me in taking them to the vet? It's the same with any other animal correct? If he gets bit he takes that responsibility having agreed to work with them.
