This is Sir Hiss. I saw a news report the other day that said a full grown ball python was able to hold a woman and her daughter for four hours before she could get to the phone to call the fire department. I know snakes are strong, but has anyone ever witnessed such power in an adult ball?
Hahahaha! That's such a crock. An adult BP poses no such threat, I wouldn't recommend putting one around your neck - they are strong enough to cut your wind no worries, but to hold two people......... So sad that stories like this make their way into the news... people tend to believe most of what is in print
It was on TV and there were interviews with everyone inclind the firemen. They had a picture of the snake and it was big but nothing special. The lady said she let it free from its cage for the first time and sometime later it got a hold of her daughters wrist. As the mother came to help it got her arm. Though she did not say anthing about it, a pet store guy whom they also interviewed said the snake had to be gripping around a bar or post or something in order to have any chance of holding them. All the firemen said was " I never gotten a call like this before." Well everyone can just decide for themselves. I just didnt think a ball python had that much power and I still don't.
I didnt see it but it sounds like the snake grabed a little girl around the wrist and maybe she wasnt old/big/strong enough to pull away. I have a ball python that could easily hold onto a 3 year old wrist. Did they give an age or anything? Sounds a lot like an exageration though.
I have not read the article but about maybe the woman & child were paralyzed with fear that the big bad ball python was going to eat them...and that's why they had to be rescued.
They had probably just read some article about a ball python that poisoned and ate an entire village in South America.

Well I know this all sounded dumb but I just wanted to see what others have to say. It really did happen, but it was only on local news. The girl was three years old and thats about all I know.
