I know this isnt about snakes but does anybody breed rabbits and keep them outside and live in a temperate climate zone? I want to keep them outside because it would be the cheapest way to keep them and be able to separate the males from females. I found a place where i can buy rabbit food for 49 cents a pound and i think that this would be the cheapest way for me to feed my retic and also i could buy even more tics or burms because i really love the giant snakes they are amazing animals.
I had rabbits and in the spring/summer/fall they were outside in a cage. And during winter they were inside. Do you mean outside in a cage or in a free roam area? I think free range might lead to parasites.
yea i was thinking about putting up a fence type thing and letting them live outside because there is a farm by me that has them outside all year round but they dont sell the rabbits unfortunately.
