My BP Sasha
Sorry I didn't get these up sooner but poor Sasha had to wait a few days longer before I could feed her. Diesel (fat cat) got real sick and I took him to 3 different vets before they could figure out what was wrong with him. He had surgery last night to remove a blockage from his duodenum (small intestine). The damn cat ate an ear plug and it was stuck 3 inches below his stomach. Thankfully I didn't wait for the first 2 vets to figure out what was wrong. $4,000 later, Diesel is out of surgery and doing well. I might even be able to take him home tonight.
Sasha going through the weekly routine of soaking and eating: (Please note, some pictures are graphic)
The photo's are loaded in order they were taken. Some you will see her "playing peek a boo" She is actually getting in strike position because she knows food is coming. The pictures following that are what I call her "Feed me B*tch" pose. Please note, Sasha has never struck at me or bitten me. However, I have never been stupid enough to get close enough when she "Strikes a pose." (lol) I will post a vid of her later

It's is small for her. She wont eat rats. So I feed her extra large mice (4 inch long mouse / 50 grams) and baby chickens (heads and feet removed). She eats once a week or once every 2 weeks depending on her mood. Average meal is 2-3 mice or 2 mice 1 chick. This week she only wanted 1 of each.
I have tried all methods possible and there are some things she will not tolerate. Rats. Her previous owner only fed her live female baby mice once a month. I almost had a coniption fit when I learned that.
After everything I have been through with her, I am thrilled to death to have her on a normal feeding schedule. Lesson for future snake owners, Be sure you know how to properly feed your baby because they will stick to what they know.
Luckily for us, what she doesn't eat Hendrix will. No food is ever wasted here.
