What do you all think about these?
Zhaoermia mangshanensis or Mangshan Viper
I personally think they are the MOST beautiful snakes on this planet. Some may think otherwise. The are domestic to only an area of 60 sq. miles in the Mangshan Mountains. They reach at the max 8-9 feet. There arguably the most "docile" of all venomous snakes. What do you all think?

Re: What do you all think about these?
They look pretty cool, i probably would put them in my top 10.
Look up the African Bush Viper and the Super Sunfire Reticulated python:P
Regarding the snake you linked, what makes it docile? Is it not prone to biting, or?

WOW ive seen a picture of that snake before " African Bush Viper". That is an awesome looking snake it almost looks unreal.
And yea they make no attempts to bite or strike. I guess in the wild they have almost no competition/predators.

Re: What do you all think about these?
Reminds me of the animals inside the corona of a volcano in New Guinea.
If you want to see an amazing video of untouched nature look up "lost land of the volcano" in the posts i started, its amazing and something i think you'd like.

I watched about 30 mins of episode 1, and your not kidding. I wonder though why alot of those animals in that region are endangered, you would think that habitat would be unharmed by human expansion. And that part with the Indian Rock Python, i wasnt even aware they existed now i know what killed that deer in India on someone elses thread. Thanks for sharing that i assure you i will continue to watch them. I have to say British people make wonderful documentaries.

Re: What do you all think about these?
They are endangered because they only live inside the corona of that specific volcano

That is pure beauty. I'm in love... you *******
I've always thought about how cool it would be to have a docile venomous snake!

Even with a "docile" venomous snake, the risk is still there.
Even if you have health care, they will never pay for a snake bite from a snake you own.

Re: What do you all think about these?
Just because I've thought about how cool it would be, doesn't mean I'd ever take the risk of owning one I panned to handle... For some time I've thought about keeping one of the Northwest Rattlers I catch every year, but thats a whole other ball game.
Still can't believe how gorgeous this snake is.
