sand question...
i have a ksb and i am getting ready to clean the cage... i have left over calsi-sand that i usually use, but its dark red. is colored sand okay to use? any input will be greatly appreiciated... its not a big deal, i just want to know because i want to get the cages clean. thanks alot!

I don't see why not. My friend Shawn has a KSB and use that new glow in the dark sand. I haven't seen it yet, but he say it looks wicked. His use two or three diffrent kinds of color sand. Everytime he has to get a new bag he whiches colors.

okay, i didnt think it would matter, but just wanted to be sure... thanks!
i just noticed my KSB laying in its water bowl alot latly.... ( its dry ) i dont know why but he goes right back in so i dont want to give him water, or should i leave it and give a 2nd water dish??

I ask Shawn he said put a second water bowl in and check temp. You may have it to hot. He said 80 to 85 on the hot end works perfected for him. Also check for mites. This could be a sign.
