Unhappy Do jungles lose color as they get older?

My 9 year old jungle just shed and her yellow is darker than normal. I notice over the last year her bright eyepopping yellow is starting to look wash out and faded. Is this normal as they age?

Hmmm...I'm not sure. I know a lot of snakes do tend to fade as they age, and carpets have rather large, rough scales for pythons, so they do tend to look less crisp as they grow larger. My female jungle (2 years old) just shed and she has a section that looks almost orangish that wasn't there before, so I would say it's quite possible.

They do tend to fade some etc. as they age.
The nicest a JCP will ever look is usually when it is 2-3 YO.
They start off as "ugly ducklings" & it takes the first year or 2 for all their colors to come in & then they tend to "peak" & begin to dull out some.
Not all do but it is somewhat typical, Mark
