New Ball Python & Popping Noise??

I recently purchased a new ball python named Pheonix on sunday. I am quite concerned actually. When my husband was driving home i noticed that he was breathing, and then you heard a popping noise. My husband said that when we got home we would see if any of our other ball pythons did the same thing. Now we have a 4 foot ball python named harley and another young one named Oddball. Neither of them do this, and ofcourse we probably looked like idiots holding them up to our ear listening for popping noise. But.. it's weird, because even when pheonix is away from my ear i still hear this popping noise.

I only have a 3 day warrinty on pheonix whihc i bought from a pet store.. now i am on the 2nd day and he is still doing this.. should i be alarmed? I looked it up online and they said it was a sign of respitory problems.. But.. i am worried that if i bring the snake to the petstore that i am going to have problems returning him, as the people that work there arent too brilliant.
