How to clean?

I was wondering what everyone uses to clean their snake enclosures. I am trying to find something that is safe and easy to use when cleaning out my snake enclosures. I would appreciate any information.

My fiance is a veterinarian and recommends plain household bleach mixed with water - about 1 part per 30.

Nolvasan / Chlorhexadine is pretty good stuff. The concentrate is about $28/gallon or $8 per 16 oz, you dilute 2 oz to a gallon and use that to clean with. You don't have to rinse just wipe dry and it kills mold, bacteria and other nasties. Not a very good soap you need to pick up solid matter first. Nolvasan is a lot more fun to clean with than bleach water. You don't need gloves and it doesn't smell bad, I can't stand the smell of bleach.

I've also been using some Healthy Habitat enzyme cage cleaner lately, it knocks out odors and cleans up pretty well also. It's around $6 for a 24 oz spray bottle.

I use Chlorhexadine for good cleanings for the same reason mentioned about the bleach. I also use the Health Habitat for the glass cleaning when it needs it but don't trust it to kill nasties and don't use it when the snake is in the cage either like it says you can.
