Gladware containers.....don't buy...

The walmart value brand

I went in to buy some gladware containers for housing neonate cornsnakes, and saw the walmart value brand for 10cents cheaper so I bought a bunch (ALOT ) and half the lids just sit in and don't secure. :medtongue

What a waste....

Thought I'd pass it on to others so they don't make the same mistake.

Out of 21 containers I bought, half the lids work well, have they don't.

LOL!!! I bought the SAME ones! The lids sure do suck... BIG TIME!!!

Do yours seem way too big for some of the containers? Pretty sad, eh?

I plan to use mine in a lidless rack, so it's not a huge concern for me. In the mean time I have a few housing pre-shed colubrids in the incubator with lids and I just went through the stack of lids until I stumbled upon some that fit.

I would take them back but I already drilled a bunch of holes in them. :s Oh well, they're the perfect size container... just crappy lids.

Country:
If you haven't drilled them yet try taking them back or use them for water dishes for adult snakes instead maybe. I use them (glad & ziplock ones) for both babies & waterdishes, Mark
P.S. cheaper isn't better, especially when dealing with Wally World

I used the Wally World ones once too.... they are now water dishes. Go with Glad & Ziploc, they rock.

LOL.... yep, the lids are too big. I was kicking myself for this one... Especially since everyone in my town is sold out of the ones I want I would like to replace all the crappy ones with the real thing. Ah well, rubber bands and tape till I can get into the city.

I had already drilled them before noticing this.... blahhhhhhhhhh. Oh well, lesson learned. " why screw with a good, PROVEN thing " ( like gladware or ziploc containers. )
