newbie question: male or female

I'm going to be getting a ball python here in the next couple of weeks (planning on going with one from bocamorphs.com - any opinions on them?) and I was wondering if it makes a difference which sex I get, male or female?

Is there any difference in temperment?

I've read that females on average are larger than males, but size isn't really a big deal for me (ie I'm ok with anything in the avg. bp range of 3-5').

Is one sex typically more aggressive than the other? I want a snake that is as mild-mannered as possible so what are yall's recomendations?

It is always good to start with a female first. Part of the reason once you get hook up and want to breed them, a female need longer time to become mature. On the other hand a good normal female is very high demanding. If you are no longer can keep the snake, you won't have problem to find her a new home or you can sell her for a better money.
As for the temperment, they really is the same between a male and a female.

i agree with edmond on everything he said. one thing i will tell you though is you are probably better off buying one from a local reptile expo rather than ordering one online. you can get one very cheap at an expo and you wont have to pay shipping. good luck with it!
