Having a hard shed..

I have had this guy for about 6 months now. He would use a humid hide (that I ever saw / signs of). Recently the last 4 weeks, I put a larger one in with a hole in top and he used it occasionally. Last night after I dumped crickets in, I saw he was shedding. He looked like he was gasping, but I saw him licking his nose, so I thought he was trying to losen the skin. I came in tonight, and this is how I found him ... still.

*** how do I insert pictures larger the 250k All mine are 300k

I did give him a warm spray.... and thats when he started licking.

His take is at 88-90 warm side all the time. He had 2 dry hides, and one large humid hide.

You can upload the pictures to your gallery (free with membership) and then use the 'image' tag in the posting window. Or resize your pictures to make them small enough to attach to the post via the 'attachment' option.

Since the picture didn't show up, I can't really tell what the problem is. If it's just a taking a bit long for him to shed, you might want to let him sit in a container like a critter keeper with very soaking wet paper towel to soften the shed. Leave him in there (supervised) for about 30 minutes and then carefully try to remove the skin.
