Hi all, noticed a few minutes ago that my royals eye looks really wrong.
It looks like her whole eye has moved forward about a milimeter.
Along the back side of her eye it looks like something white has come out.
Apart from this she is fine, temps, humidity ect. in the vivarium are all good.
looks like she is a bit dry, the eyes get wrinkly looking. Place a warm damp towel into a rubbermaid and place her in it put the lid on and put it on the warm spot of her enclosure. Check back in a couple hours.
Looks like the eyecap to me. I'm guessing she's close to a shed... sometimes (especially if the humidity is too low) the eyecap will "raise" slightly (very slightly), and appear cracked or dented right before they go into ecdysis (the shedding period).
What's the humidity in your tank, and IS she approaching a shed? Raise it to 60-80% or toss in a humid hide (or a soak, if that's your thing) and see how it is the next day.
