I gave in ...

After months of looking interested in F/T, F/K, restrained rats etc...and not eating them. I finally broke down and offered (sorry Mykee) a mouse. In 3 seconds the fast was over. I quickly whacked an appropriately sized rat and played follow the leader with the mouse, She got her mouse. and I got a rat in her. Hopefully she'll realize rats are good.

Beardie, I actually have two '04 hatchlings that are eating just like that. They like mice, and I always get a rat in there. Sidenote: The two that do this, are #2 and #4 in the weight department out of 17. Now to step it up and remove the mouse from that scenario completely. Congratulations.

She was purchased as a mouse eater, and has taken rat pups on her own in the past, but like nita said about hers she changed her mind and stopped eating. I have been good about no mice for 3 months, but she started loosing some weight. I figured if a small mouse will get her going, then so be it .
