found some places with hots

i found some areas that deal with hots close to me. one is about 20 minutes away and the other about 45. i want to go and see if i can volunteer to learn about hots so maybe in a few years i may keep some. i've become so passionate for herps over the past years its astonishing to me. the only other things i feel this strongly about are guitar and my being vegan.strange that I'm vegan you think ? ask me sometime and we'll discuss my reasoning. but my question is how do you think i should go about asking these people to volunteer? any advice is sure to help a bit. thanks guys.

Probably wantot get to know them a bit first. Easier to get people to help if they know you. Most ven keepers are careful about potential keepers just out for a "rush" working with hots.
