my local by-laws

i have just read the entire animal control by-laws for my city and can't find anything for venomous reptiles.

am i missing something, or does this mean i would be ok to keep them?

Brockville by-laws

many thanks

There is nothing that I saw which specifically prohibits venomous reptiles or reptiles in general save the provision which stipulates adequate care as a condition as such you should theoretically be able to keep those species you wish. However I would be cautious of the reference to non-domesticated "wild-animals" in the bylaw as that could easily be extended to include virtually any animal which was deemed offensive. I would also draw your attention to the section which prohibited keeping in excess of four animals total (as many herpers have far in excess of this number). However I just gave the bylaw a quick perusal and may have missed some or much of the contents therin.
