Black scales

2 weeks ago our gtp just started to get black scales in front of both of it's eyes. Wonder if this has happened to anyone else? Or does anyone know what it is? Thanks.

I am not sure, but I have seen several GTP with some minor black coloration. usually a black tip on the tail or a spot here or there. It doesnt seem to hurt them and can be attractive as a oddity.

Sorry I could help more.
