Self portraits
I was messing around with my simple Canon A70, a tripod, a spot lamp from one of my enclosures and a tad bit of photoshop to adjust the levels. This is what i came up with.
I look like a friggin genie! lol
Taken at night with all the lights turned off except the lamp from the enclosure which I pointed at myself from the side. Pinned up a back cloth to the wall behind me. Not bad for a makeshift studio. Once I get a better camera Im going to start taking portraits professionally.

K now I need some real models to take photos of. I want to take a photo of a standing woman's back (bare to the waist) with a big iguana clutching onto her back with the tail following her spine down. That would make a awesome photo. Once I find a appropriate model and a big iguana Ill take the shots and post them up.

Baz, Give yourself more credit. You don't need a better camera to take better pics. Take it from someone who lives in his darkroom.all cameras and film are just tools, they just record what they "see". Your the one who composes the shot,waits for the light to be just right etc. You create everything, the camera just records it. Good luck.....Steve

Hey Baz, those shots are AWESOME! I'm gonna agree with sidewinder. You don't seem to need a better cam, you're doing GREAT with the one you've got! I love the atmosphere in the photos. Let me know if you still need models!

no but seriously..i've been looking for a photographer to take some pictures of me with various reptiles.
i want to do one with the illusion of me being nude and a really big snake coiled around me..
unfortunately all the photographers i've talked to dont work with live animals..much less huge snakes.
 ..
those losers!
