Can any1 help me?
Hello every1. I just got my ball python in the mail lol. IT was really cold when i got it, but i put it in a sweater and now he or she is lying in the hide box. My question is that when i bought it i was told i am getting a baby, but i got a 3 and a half feet snake.
Should i keep it or return it?

If you WANTED a baby, i would deffinitely give the breeder a call and tell him. If you are happy with it, keep it.

How loud is it? Is it doing it all the time or just that once or twice?
Also is it blowing any bubbles out of its nostrils, or breathing with an open mouth?

Alright it sounds fine then.
Some of my animals do that as well when i pick them up, i dont think it is anything for you to worry about.
I would just let the snake settle in for a good week or so, then you could try to feed it and start handling it.
Good luck with it.

It is really hard to tell, it could be a yearling, it could be 2, it could be 3. Your guess is as good as mine.
Plus it would depend on genetics, like how big the parents are. How much it has eaten, and so on.
You would have to inquire with who you bought it off or who bred it to see how old it is.

I dont know if they are trustworthy or not, as they are in the states and i am in Canada.
But i went to their site and it looks as though their ball pythons are wild caught. You should try to stay away from wild caught ball pythons, as there are alot of reputable ball python breeders in the states.
First thing i would do if you are going to keep it is to take it to the vet, as it will probably have to be de-wormed and have a good check over.
In my opinion you should have spent the extra cash and got a captive bred baby from a breeder.
Good luck.

Try not to mention names here, that's not what this site is for...if you want, check out the BOI at www.faunaclassifieds.com. Post all of your questions regarding certain breeders/sellers there
For all your basic size, husbandry and health problems, why not spend 45 seconds on Google and type 'ball python care sheet'. You'll get a ton of info and answers...
Good luck
