Exclamation Energy saving bulbs recalled due to fire hazard!!!

Check this out folks:

http://globe-electric.com/html/compa...ss_release.htm

Because these things are 13W they are often used in lights that may be left on in your absence or even all night long. This was the case with the 2 I was using. They were being sold at places like Walmart, CDN Tire, Zellers etc. & are all being recalled. Don't want anyone to burn because of subsatandard product, Mark

Wait......Not all of them are bad!

I have a couple.....and still doe(only one in use though). There is a certain batch number available on the side of the bulbs that indicates that. Mine is made after that batch, and therefor they should be ok. I cant remeber the batch number that is bad, but im sure you could figure it out. I saw this on the news about a month ago! Lol. Thanks for posting though Mark!

Ya all the series that are possibly NFG are listed on the link & the "safe" ones are the ones with the new logo. Not all the old logo ones are unsafe but it is best to check to make sure they aren't the ones that are unsafe. Mark
P.S. I heard theres been a few lawsuits in reguards to them already.
