Help! I bought a warm mist humidifier about 1.5 months ago and it has been running 24-7, my wife noticed mold in the closet in that room. Not a little mold ALOT of mold, almost the whole back wall of my closet! What can I do? I understand that some mold is harmful and obviously don't need to be sick from something like this.
If you have any suggestions please let me know..I have since turned the humidifier off but now the humidity is becoming an issue. It was at an almost 75% humidity for over a month, I know it was stupid but it's a little too late to kick myself for it and I just want some advice.
a regular ammonia/water mixture that you would use for any other cleaning around the house should do it. if it recurs then you may have the serious problem that needs to be looked at. Right now I'd be assuming that disinfecting should take care of it. If it only exists in one area I doubt that your house is a black mould death trap.

Why are there braille dots on
the keypads at drive up ATMs?
have it removed (do it properly, i couldn't tell you how though)
But, you may want to consider using some kind of bathroom paint in that room. It prevents mold in washrooms.. Showersteam would be very similar to the mist from the humidifier. Id paint before using it again.
