I bought a heating pad from K-Mart and turned my 20 gallon tank on its side -----worked out great!

how much was it if i may ask? ive been looking for them but wal-mart sucks and doesnt carry them here

I found one made by Sunbeam that was for $17- works well with my temperature controller.

can you post a picture of your set up? I am curios as I too need a large heatpad and human ones seem good to me, but not sure how it works..
