I never heard of this species too, maybe this is a species haven't been upgrade to a new species yet. The nearest new species I can recall is Triceratolepidophis sieversorum Ziegler, Herrmann, David, Orlov & Pauwels, 2000 from Vietnam; correct me if I'm wrong. Anyway, this is a nice animal!
If i could just see the pictures i can tell you is it T. sieversorum or P. cornutus . I have picture only from cornutus bit ive seen sieversorum in my own eyes few times. Also im 110% sure that this "new" species is *******. Sorry my language.
sorry everyone i donn't know the real scientific name,
coz i donn't know about this one ,but this is is caught myself in china and i post this scientific name is found from china official name list of viper
Finally i see the pictures, looks like juvenile Triceratolepidophis sieversorum, but closer pic from head area would confirm. Usually T. sieversorum has 3 "horns". P. cornutus 2 .
