They *can* exceed lengths of 25' (I forget what zoo has the 27 footer?), but on average I would say between 14 and 17 feet...

I'm sure there are a few out there. If someone does have pics I would love to see them too.

I believe that most large snakes are grossly overestimated. Sure they have the potential to get huge, however, most do not. The average burm size is 12-14 feet and 60-100lbs. I have not personally seen a burm over 14 feet in person. Seeing a 20 foot burm or retic would be the equivalent to seeing an 8 foot person...........which you don't see very often. Giants do exhist but they are quite rare.

Corey
P.S. I did get the pleasure of working the head of a very pissed off 19 foot retic while in Calgary............a very cool experience!

HA. Lisa shows how much you know.
er wait.. your right I REALLY REALLY REALLY want an albino burm but I just keep thinking. Can't sleep the burm will eat me. Can't sleep the burm will eat me. Can't sleep the burm will eat me.

But alas I have no one to help me care for such an animal.

And as far as seeing 8 foot giants. guess you didn't grow up in my family... We are breeding NBA players I tell you.
