dehydration

i know i post too many q's but 1 more(it is important)--i have had my new beardie for 2 days now and he won't eat and vegetables-i tried giving him zuccini squash, green pepper, and carrots.i put it in there first thing this morning and he wouldn't touch it.i tried hand feeding him. after i took it out he ate 8 crickets and then later he ate 6 more crickets.also he won't drink.i gave him a bath and he hated it and ran around (freaked out) and pooped but no drink.i put dropplets on his back nose head.i left in a water dish.could this whole problem be because i just got him 2 days ago?one ,ore thing.when i got him i didn't notice anyting but now iam looking at his tail and it's cloudy -is he beginning to shed -or finishing to shed.it has not come off for the 2 days i have had him.i gave him a bath and it was still there.is it going to go away?

Relax.

Most of the research I have read says that they will eat very few veggies for the first few months. They often take time to learn to drink from standing water as well, if they do at all.

Continue to offer veggies and mist him with water. Make sure that your crickets are well fed. Give some veggies to the crickets along with some cricket chow.

dont just put his veggies in a bowl, after you feed him in the morning,( about 5-6 hours) rip up some bok choy, or romain, or collard greens and set them right in front of his face where he is basking. Im sure he will eat them.

What i heard is, that the best thing to do is: put the veggies in there (like half an hour to an hour) before you feed it crickets. That should get him on greens kinda fast too. Im not sure though, cause i only read it, but it sounds rather logical.
