Moluccan Python

This is my female Moluccan (formerly Scrub) Python. She's calmed down a little since I've had her, but still has the typical Scrub attitude

Awsome Mollucan!!! If you ever want to part with her, please keep me in mind My male would love to have a mate... I'm lucky, now at about 6ft, he's completly tame, I can even take him out of his tank bare hand and he dosen't strike.

How big is she? Keep the pics comming.

Here's my male

I hope my female eventually becomes that tame. Lets just say I make good use of my snake hook

She is actually a little bigger than she looks. I'd estimate around ~4 feet at the moment, but it's hard to get an exact measurement.

Good looking Moluccans, guys!
We are just beginning to get the ball rolling on a paper/article on our experiences with the Moluccan Python. They are fantastic snakes that are quite unique among the scrub complex. Hopefully it'll be done in the next couple of months, time permitting.
Since we can't have any more, it's nice to see other folks animals!
Good luck with 'em!

Drew,
Once the paper is done, it'll most likely end up on our website unless I can convince Reptiles magazine to publish it.
We will include all of the details of our 2002 semi-successful reproduction of this species as well as many of the issues and perhaps some theories we have about Moluccan reproduction.
I am hoping to be able to make it as comprehensive as possible.
But don't worry, once it is offically done, I post something about it here.
