NEW HYBRID pic
Well it wouldn't be a reptile show if I didn't buy at least one snake. Here's my new male? (have to probe) Corn X Variable King Hybrid. He was the only one there of his kind & I thought he'd help make some extra cool Jungles in the future. We'll see I guess. Mark

Very cool, as always. Is there any predictability in the appearances of Corn/King crosses? It just seems that no two are alike, some look more corn than king others vice versa but that one looks like a perfect half and half mix... just weird.

Beautiful Snake. Could there be some Mountain King or Milk in there somewhere? Anyway I like the topsy turvy triangle on it's head.

Very interesting Mark - any idea of which parent was male and which was female? This one really looks like a variable - how old is he? Wonder what size he will get to. Thanks for sharing,
mary v.

THX all! Mary, unfortunately you know about as much as I do about this guy? I got it from a "middleman" wholesaler type BC guy. All he knew is that it was a 2003 Variable X Corn Male? All I knew is that I needed this snake LOL I think the variable factor will make out for some kick @ss jungles in the future though. I kinda hope that it is a male for it can be bred a year earlier. If not I'll wait until 2006? I guess. Funny that I sexed around a dozen snakes over the weekend, but not my own LOL I don't really care either way anyhow I'll still be happy. Mark
P.S. the only other "weird" hybrid was an Apricot Pueblan X albino something (ruthveni?) male that Henry bought from the same guy. He was going to bred it to his female PMs to try & produce albino PMs in the future as it was already of a breedable size pretty much. It looked like my male Mexican Milk IMO Both snakes orginated out of California I beleive, US stock anyhow.
