EDB Eye Infection

Well, this Roundup Rescue has given me the unfortunate opportunity to get about EVERY common ailment in a very condensed time frame. Here is one of the small Eastern Diamondbacks. She shed 2 days before I noticed it so my first thought was a retained eyecap. I wet bagged her, no luck. So I tubed her to get a better look. I managed to clean most of the crud out of the corner of her eye, but I did not see a retained eyecap. Perhaps it is obscured by the massive infection  We'll see what the vet says.

How many from the roundup came to you healthy without any ailments?

How many of them that you got at the roundup, if any (?) had injuries *From* the roundup?

What a barbaric practice.

Roundups really bother me. It breaks my heart to know that there are people that get enjoyment from causing harm to the animals that we care so much for. It's good to see that you are so dedicated to making a positive impact, BW. Keep up the good work.

Many of the rescues came in with various ailments. But very few had any apparent physical trauma. I think most of the problems come from the conditions they were "stored" in.
