very scary
today i came home from school to find out that my veiled had escaped from her 10 gallon tank. i was panicking and searching all over my room and house. i even had my dad and sister help me look for her. after about 45 minutes of searching, i found her. she was on top of my jackson's cage haha. she had gotten out by climbing up a branch, onto the hygrometer, onto the heat light wires, down them, across my floor, up the wires that lead up to my jackson's uva/uvb light, and was sitting on top of his cage. it was very very scary.

One of my female veileds was missing for 3 days and presumed dead (I had a cat at the time). We finally found her, but it took a lot of work. WE pulled apart the area under the stairs where we keep christmas boxes and suitcases. Well, My dad whould look in the suitcase, then pass it to me to look in, then I passed it to my mom to look in. And guess who found her! My mom is terrified of reptiles, and she was the last one to look in the bag, and I guess me and my dad both missed her!!!
She was very black and very cold. I put her under the heat lamp and she came to quickly, and had no ill side effects. I think she just shut down.
From that day on, my mom made me put a towel in the space under the door so my cham couldn't get out again.
I concluded that her wandering was her looking for a mate. She laid her first clutch of eggs a month later.
