Well last night was definitely exciting!!
After coming home from work, I was informed by my wife, that the female ball python that we keep in a 33 gallon on its side, was NOT in her enclosure. The screen was properly attached and there were no signs of an escape route. Now this is NOT a small snake, tipping the scales at 845 grms. Well after tearing apart the rather large sectional couch, and patting down EVERY cushion and blanket, after checking every box, hole, ledge, drawer, garbage bag, shoe, etc.; I finally found the girl downstairs hiding in a milk crate. After a couple of hours of warming her up, she now has a new home in the racks!
Just a note to those who use 33 gallons on their side, there is a lot of flex in a screen top on the side with the two permament latch tabs (not the side with the rotating tabs). Use a strap in the center and you should be ok. I won't do that again!!
Here's a pic of the escape artist!!
Too much excitement after a long day..
Cheers
