can i use (sylvania) flood bulbs for bearded dragon cage

hey just wondering if i could use sylvania or any other kind of flood bulb for my bearded dragon cage because the ones specially for reptiles are getting expenive when ever i have to replace it, and the flood bulbs are cheaper and come in packs, would i be able to use them and would it give off the same heat? and is there any other cheaper bulb i can use for the night time red light at night?

Yes, you can just make sure its not too hot, floodlamps get very hot.

so what your saying is that i should check my temp gage and if its really high turn off the light for a bit.
