Not to mention the safety risks he is taking. What happens when someone gets bit and possibly dies on one of his trips, or when he sells a poisonous snake to someone who has no experience with them?

I know you never want to wish someone something bad but I really hope people like him get bitten and don't make it.

Geez, talk about putting a strain on wild populations. I hope this guy falls off a cliff on one of his "tours". Did you read the part where he says, "Who says theres a shortage of rattlesnakes?" 110 rattlers caught in 7 days. Grrr...

What a shame... He's so busy trying to build himself up that he has no concern for the species he's collecting. Someone else that's more interested in money and fame than being concerned if the species and numbers he's collecting are sustainable. Check out his non-herp related links... a little off?? I'd say so!

Thanks B.W. good to have that link. Many in the business have known about him for years. Maybe this will discourage people from buying from him and again, maybe they will question were the "timbers" that they do purchase are from. Just as with EDB's Timbers only produce every 2-3 years in the wild. Hard for them to recover from hits from people like him!!!

he he. I was talking to one field herper that has special permission to herp this guys land and photograph Timbers. The only stipulation is that he has to go armed and has standing orders to shoot CobraKing on sight if he is up there poaching LOL

BWSmith, are you serious bout the field herper you talked to being allowed to shoot the cobraking on sight if he sees him? If so, tell him to find the cobraking ASAP!

thanks,
Ben

Maybe it's the personals add or the bit on UFO's but it seems strange that there are those that take this guy seriously. I don't mean that he isn't a serious threat as a poacher, but as somebody you want to give $5000 to and take you out in the bush...
