I'm thinking about going. I've never been to one before either, but it's kind of a hike from Long Island. If I drive all the way there and it's a bunch of garbage I'm going to be pissed that I wasted my Sunday. I assume you're referring to the Reptile Expo at the County Center on Tarrytown Rd.
I went to the Expo and was not disappointed at all. I could not get over how big it was and how many breeders were there. There was a row of tables where all the people were wearing the same NERD t-shirts, they by far had the nicest selection of snakes going for thousands of dollars a piece. Most of the vendors had zero problems with answering all of my questions. It is a very different thing from looking at pictures of snakes on the internet or going to pet stores. At the Expo I got to see practically all the various snakes available, and the differences in quality for each breed at the various tables. A novice like myself can learn a lot at these events, I'm really glad I went.
