i heard that is bad to handle yearling gtp's b/c you can injure them. is this b/c it is that they are fragile, or just as fragile as say a yearling bp. what is it that makes them so fragile

Jacob, gtp's should be handled as little as possible before they're yearlings because they have delicate spines that can be easily damaged... They're definitely more fragile than a bp. Definitely.

Yes, what you have heard is right. I fyou don't have to, I wouldn't over handle a baby at all.

As previously mentioned, their spines and also their tails are extremely delicate. In addition, they can easily be stressed out.

The really big problem is that if you damage their spine or tail, you may not know for a couple of years.

If you're looking into getting a Chondro and have never had one before, I strongly recommend getting a CBB (not farmed in Indonesia) yearling or older.
