Feeder container

I know that alot of people don't like to feed in the home enclosure. I wanted to feed in another enclosure too but have a question. I know that you should leave the snake alone after a feed to avoid regurgitation, how do you get them back in the home enclosure?? or do they spend a day or two in the feed cage??

Also, my girl, 4 months old, ate on wednesday on her own (kind of a drive thru thing), long story, should i let the bump be my guide or feed her on wednesday if she will take it??

Hey,

After the snake has eaten you can jst pick it up and place it back in the enclosure. Just don't play with it after its had a meal.

You shouldn't handle the snake right after eating, especially boids. We do with our corns, but we know they are completely non-agressive, have never bitten, and I'm pretty confident never will. But, even in the case of your boa, leave them in the feed container for about an hour. They will be fine after that.

For question 2, going by the lump can be ok, but can be deceiving as well. I guess it depends on the size of the prey and age of the snake. At a couple of months old, every 10 days should suffice.

i myself feed my smaller snakes from babys to about a year old every 5-7 days and as they get older and go onto bigger prey i slow the feedings down to once every 10-14 days.
