What's in/around Mt. Kilimanjaro, Tanzania?

As far as herps go, what is on the actual mountain and the surrounding area? I know there are a few specific species of chameleons, but does anyone know any other herps that are around that area?

Thanks,
-Brock

I know there are a few gecko species including the , Bibron's Thick-Toed Gecko, Bibbon Gecko, Clawed Gecko, Dwarf Cape Gecko and the Green Day Gecko. Some lizards that I know of include East African Spine-Tail and the Yellow Throated Plated Lizard. Im not sure of any snakes, and of course there are much more reptilians I just don't have any in mind at the moment, aside from the chameleon species.

If you input Kilimanjaro along with reptiles or herps as key words in a Google search, you should be able to find a page with accounts of field studies in that area. I've used the same search technique for a number of areas and always find a similar page.

Good luck,

WM
