They first and bigger one measures:
60" long x 21" high x 21" wide
The second smaller one measures:
48" long x 18" wide x 21" high

Just search "calculating gallons" on Yahoo and you can figure it out pretty easily...

the 48'' one is probably a 75 gallon tank. And the other one is anywhere from an 80 gall to a 100 gall tank.

i found the formula to find out gallons.
Multiply the length x the width x the depth in inches, then divide by 231
And that will give you the the capacity in gallons

i dont understand what was meant by that question. Could you explain what your asking? When you use the forumla i gave in my last post all you have to do is multiply all the lengths and than divide by 231 and it will give you the number of gallons the tank is. Im just using canadian gallons i guess...does that answer your question?

if you do a search for "tank calculator" on msn etc, then it pops up a few different fish keeping websites which have online calulators on.. it does us/uk gallons and different shapes of tank.
heres one http://www.tropicalfishcentre.co.uk/Calc.htm

there's no canadian gallons. we use liters and that's easy to calculate. 10cmX10cmX10cm = 1dm^3 = 1 liter.

what would gallons have to do with canada or us or europe. Woudlnt on gallon be the same everywhere??? or atleast the same between us an canada. If it isnt that is pretty dumb? How would you do business or something over the border if they dont follow the same measurments?

1 European gallon = 1.20095 US gallons = 4.546092 liters.
Many different forms of measurment out there that have been around ever since man realized a need.
At least it is easy to figure out in a pinch.
And Lisa,
