Ok, Im having a fourm discussion with a person who will not eat animals or products. However, she says she will eat insects.
Is it just me for thinking its a hyporcritical statement or did I miss something that says insects are not animals. What's your thoughts on this?
Yes insects are classified as animals (Kingdom Animalia) but their level of sentience and lack of consciousness makes some people think that they aren't "worth" as much or feel as much pain etc etc.
Not saying I agree, but this is most people's argument in my experience.
Well, I have met vegans who step on ants, so I guess if they'll step on them, they'll eat them too...
