Lets see some natural setup pics
After the debate on not using sand as a substrate, I'd really like to see some pics of everones setups. I want tocreate a natural display for my first Leopard.

Hello,
Nice enclosure! How well do the geckos nails adhere to the surface? Do they slip at all?

Here is mine, I plan on putting in some more slate to cover the bottom a bit more. The cage itself is 5'x2.5'.

They don't slip at all. I just made sure to get a slate tile that doesn't have the shiny coated surface. The texture is that of a really flat rock. They do really well on it.
This picture shows the texture and color of the slate in a little more detail. They are made by some Italian company and can be found at home depot for 2 dollars american for each 12"x12" square.

Hello,
It is actually a cloth. I went to a local fabric store and found this material. It resembles denim but has a very soft texture to it. there are no frayed edges because it has 6 inches wrapped underneath itself. It also doesn't cause the geckos nails to become stuck which is what i was first worried about. when they want to dig, they use the moist hide. It works well, is easy to clean, and isn't an impaction problem.

Alice -- how do you clean the slate? Do you find it fairly easy to clean?
I've got pics of some of my enclosures on my site here: http://www.geocities.com/geckohaven/tanks.html
Although as my collection has grown, I must admit that I've switched over to using newspaper for substrate for ease of cleaning, even if it doesn't look all that pretty
