i bought an IJ about 5 months ago and prior to buying I asked people if they prefer feeding their snakes in their perm. tank or in a feed tank. There was pretty much a split in what people thought.
I tried feeding him in his tank for the first 4 months. I noticed every time I put my hand in the tank when NOT feeding, he got really "stressed", "excited", not sure what word I'd use here. Anyway, he seemed uneasy. He knows my smell, as he has never struck out at me or anything.
I switched last month to feeding him in a feeder tank (which I do with my corns). Since, he appears to be much more calm. I guess this doesn't prove anything, except that snakes are individual, and as much advice as you get, really, snakes sometimes have minds of their own!
