A Smile For Beth.....
After living in the remote wilderness all his life, an old hillbilly decided it was time to visit the big city. In one of the stores he picks up a mirror & looks in it. Not knowing what it was, he remarked, "How about that ! Here's a picture of my daddy !". He bought the 'picture', but on the way home remembered that his wife, Lizzy, didn't like his father. So he hung it in the barn & every morning before going to the fields he would go in & look at it.
Lizzy began to get suspicious of these many trips to the barn. One day after her husband left she searched the barn & found the mirror. As she looked into the glass she fumed : "So that's the ugly b!#ch he's runnin' around with ."

Thats hilarious Darlene
Chuck: I find your getting offended at everything and anything rather offensive and insensitive, specially since the intent behind the jokes is to try to make some one who's had something terrible happen recently in their lives smile.

Lisa, you are being very insensitive toward my feelings. I demand an apology.

Well... technically she made no mention of the southern states nor did she mention your name.
This is how I will derive a formula for this one...
Seeing as it was a general joke with no mention of anything, and you decided to associate it with yourself... I deduce that you insulted yourself therefore you owe yourself an apology.
Now go to the "picture" on your wall (better known as a mirror in these parts) and repeat after me... "I will never insult myself again because I am good enough, smart enough and dog gonnit people like me"
Now close your eyes, take a deep breath and say "The next time I feel like getting offended at an innocent joke or anything else that has absolutely nothing to do with me, I will run with scissors"
Ahhh... doesn't that feel better?

If you guys have not noticed, SC is catering to the 'sensitivity' of some recent threads. I don't think he is serious, rather he is proving his point. I thought I would mention that before a huge flaming war breaks out again. However SC, you did walk right into OttawaChrises point lol. *sigh*

Hey guys. SC got me,too. He is joking & we are having a private chuckle over it in some pm's now. The original joke, however, did mention Kentucky. At his *joke* I edited it (usually I get them sooner). Then I sent him a polite but not too polite pm. He pm'd back & explained that he was not serious & we are having a chuckle now, as I said.
CHUCK : Once again, I really think the "!!!!!" would be a bonus in your posts !
