blood, short tailed

What is the difference between a blood python and a short tailed python? Are they the same thing, just different terms? Sorry for the stupid question, I have been hearing these two terms for a while now and really want to know.

The blood is the red blood or python brongersmai, the bigest (usualy around 6-7ft) that come either from malaisia or sumatra (and some other island like banka). There's 2 types of short tail, the borneo or python breitensteini from the borneo island, mid sized of the 3 species (4-6ft), brown orange yellow and cream in color, and the black blood or python curtus from sumatra, the smalest one (3-5ft) and alot darker in color then borneo.

And there's no stupid question

Also, many people refer to Borneo STP and Sumatran STP as Borneo Bloods and Black Bloods, this is incorrect.
