34 days

Its been 34 days now since my 3 month, 3 and a half foot burm has defecated, he releases urates once a week but yet to #2. Is this normal? He eats 1 small rat every 3-4 days (rather than 2 rats once a week). He has had 11 meals since the last time he went but he is out of his cage for at least an hour a day moving around which could burn off energy. I know it may sound like a dumb question but my boa went more often than this and everything I read gives different information. One article will say they should defecate after each meal and others say they only go every few weeks. The temp is 90 on one side and 80 on the other and I soak him in warm water once a week too to aid in digestion.

What do you think please leave me some advice or your opinion.

Greatly Appreciated

It sounds like you are doing everything right. My two burms go pretty regular. My 13 footer usually goes almost a week to the day she eats her rabbit. My little guy who is about two feet goes once a week pretty regular. I have my temps a bit warmer though. Only about five degrees though. Maybe try soaking him a extra time each week in slightly warmer water.

Yeah soaking in warm water (just barely warm) usually did the trick for me when my boa had problems crappin. I would soak him every day (vet told me to) for at least 20 minutes to a half hour. Usually I would have to change the water half way through cause it would get too cold. Another thing that I believe has helped me all around is using spring water. I buy the cheapest gallons (55cent) of Walmart water they got and it does a good job of keeping him hydrated for taking a healthy crap or shed and his skin looks much healthier now than when I used tap water. Ever since I switched to it all my problems have gone away =)
