I'm no expert, but I think that any time prey is excreted partially digested it means there is a problem. Most likely the temps in his environment are too low, preventing proper digestion. There could possibly be a bacterial infection, parasites, or something else. The pooing that you describe sounds like diarrhea to me. It sounds like he had no control over his bowels because it's pretty unnatural for any animal to cover an entire area with excrements. Anyway, I would get him to a vet for a checkup right away if I were you. Good luck!

Sounds more like regurge not defecation.

As previously stated, check temps and humidity and have him tested for parasites.

What did it smell like? If it was a super-foul odour that ran thick through the house then it most likely was a regurge. I would have to agree with everyone, regardless of what it is, that he should be tested for parasites, bacterial problems, and a thorough assessment of husbandry needs to done. Good luck and keep us updated
