Images were removed from sigs cause people had big giant banners advertising their sites and it was a little unfair to the paying advertisers.

Yah I visit another message board and a big thing at one time was peeps putting their sites on banners. the moderator stopped it, but now it is starting again.
Personally I think it is a real shaddy way of doing things. Having it listed in your profile is good enough. Big frikken Banners, repeated every frikken topic, are uncalled 4 and a waist of bandwidth.


But that is just my $1.75.

Not only a waste of bandwidth but people who have paid for advertising aren't getting the exposure that peoples sigs get for free, which makes you less likely to pay for advertising. The idea to pay to put a banner @ the end of your messages might work except I can see people abusing it by posting on everything.

Lisa is correct...plus...if we allowed all sorts of free banners in the sigs then eventually the sponsors would just do the same and stop paying for adverts...no adverts..no money=no ssnakess.com
