every time i see one i cant beleive my eyes! i think gaboons are gorgeous creatures, i would love to have one

lol, gotta luv these guys. talk about a feeding response from an animal that mostly imitates a log. Mine will hit the forcept held mice and hang on even if lifted clear off the ground. Nice pics bro

Yeah, tell me about it Rev......... These things have some feeding response......... These guy eat right up to and even during opaque...... They will also eat every day if I fed them like that....... If you want a hot snake that eats, get a gaboon....... These babies are pounding 4 fuzzies a week....... I have one adult gaboon that has almost no feeding response at all........ I hang a rat on forcepts right infront of her and she just opens her mouth and it kinda just slides right down....... She almost never even walks the rat down with her fangs........ Strange??? I think she is just spoiled from such a good captive life LOL........
