Calgary (TARAS) Show

just wondering who is gonna be at the calgary spring show on may 17-18?

we should have a little get together, say be at the show a little early so we can meet some of the people we talk to on here. and also an after show get together to maybe get together and have some grub and a beer or something.

i dont know i think it would be a good idea because i really dont know anyone that is into herps except me and two other buddies in my town.

come on lets get some ideas happening.

Still debating on whether or not I can make it to the May show -- I think I'm going to be aiming for the September one... I'm moving in a week, and I don't think I'm going to have the funds left over to make such a big trip -- I might be able to get there, but it's no fun to get there if I don't have a bit of spending money for the show I've also heard that the fall show is bigger -- so if I'm going to make the effort to make it to just one of the shows, that one sounds like a better bet.... Wish I could go to both though, they sound just awesome!!!

The last couple of years Sheila and Myself have made gone down to the Glenmore Inn lounge Friday night and Saturday night. It is a nice atmosphere, and they have a great menu for those people who like to eat.

We have gotten to know the barkeep.

I can hear him saying, as he does every year Sheila and I show up "Oh, oh, those snake people are here..."

I'd suggest coming down either Friday evening after set up, or Saturday after the show.

I'm going to miss the Glenmore, as this is the last show to be at the Legion. If everyone was meeting somewhere else in the city, i think a few of us hardcores from out of town - may just end up staying at the Glenmore.

We stayed at the Glenmore Inn as well.
Its funny, everyone was talking about "the snake people"
And the bartender pulled out this huge pickle jar that had a preserved veitnamese cobra or something in it.

The Fall show is going to be held at Macewan Hall on the University Campus for the fall show. The fall show witll be September 27, and 28th
